1. Do I need an ID or company documents to sell scrap metal?

Yes. All individuals must provide an ID/Driver’s License/Passport. Businesses must provide registration documents. This is required by law for all metal recycling transactions.

2. How do you determine what my scrap is worth?

Prices are based on daily metal market rates. We weigh your material accurately either on our digital scale (non-ferrous) or weighbridge (steel) — and pay according to the exact weight.

3. Do I need to sort my metals before I arrive?

Sorting is helpful and saves time, but not mandatory. If you’re unsure what metal is what, just bring it and our team will assist with identification and separation.

4. Do you collect scrap from my home or business?

Yes. We offer collections for loads of ±1 ton or more within a 25km radius of the branches and charge a R500 transport fee. Book via WhatsApp, email, or our website.

5. When will I get paid?

  • Cash: Paid immediately

  • EFT: Same day for FNB, next business day for all other banks. Banking details must be identical to that of the company or Individual selling.

6. What is the difference between ferrous and non-ferrous metals?

  • Ferrous: Magnetic (steel, iron, shavings)

  • Non-ferrous: Non-magnetic and higher value (copper, brass, aluminium, stainless steel, tungsten)

7. Do you provide bins or bags for businesses?

Yes. We supply bins, cages, or mesh bags and offer weekly, monthly, or call-to-collect arrangements for commercial and industrial clients.

8. How long does the process take?

Most clients are done within 15 - 30 minutes, depending on load size and how busy the yard is.

9. Do you supply bins or bags for clients?

Yes. We supply bins or mesh bags and offer weekly, monthly, or call-to-collect arrangements for commercial, industrial and fellow recyclers.

10. Can you destroy old stock or equipment?

Yes. We supply bins, cages, or mesh bags and offer weekly, monthly, or call-to-collect arrangements for commercial and industrial clients.

11. Do you buy old appliances or electronics?

We buy many old and broken household appliances such as microwaves, fridges and dishwashers. We do not accept e-waste such as laptops or printers.

12. What’s the best way to get the most money for my scrap?

  • Separate metals (copper, brass, aluminium)

  • Remove plastic/rubber from cables if safe

  • Keep aluminium cans dry and clean

  • Sort mixed loads where possible

  • Bring non-ferrous separately from steel for faster weighing

13. Do you offer public vehicle weighing?

Yes. We provide official printed weighbridge slips for loads and vehicles at R200 per weight.
